Well I was reading this novel since last 10 days and completed today...This novel is THE most enchanting one I have ever read. I have read a lot of books, and this is by far, is the best. It is a long one. That's for sure. But it's worth it. It is truly a book that refuses to stay shut. It's like if your eyes are glued to it, because you cannot let go. The characters in the story namely, Sayuri, Mameha and Hatsumomo are so well etched that you are not likely to forget them for a long time. You sympathise with Sayuri, appreciate Mameha's kindness towards Chiyo of we love to hate the ever vindicitive Hatsumomo. This book is really something that will make you fall in love with the Japanese culture. A must read novel friends!!!
